QUARTZ!!!

Countertops are in and being installed, the first sneak peak looks amazing! 

It finally feels like we are nearing the end.

Cabinets in and Appliances on the way

Today is a big milestone...our appliances are being delivered.  So here I sit in my 4 hour delivery window, working from home....waiting, waiting, waiting.  I can't wait! 

Cabinets have been installed and are waiting final touches, countertops are tentative for end of next week. Little by little the kitchen is getting put back together and we are LOVING the way it is headed.

Here are a few pictures of the cabinets as they stand now.

Floors be DONE!

And we love them!!!! Now we are in the hunt for the right countertops.

Cabinets are supposed to be delivered Friday.  Knots, pulls and thingamajigs have been ordered. Appliances are to be delivered next week..mthings are coming together. Need to paint the dining room before we move back in.

Ahhh...so excited!!!!

Been a while

Lots has happened, we have dry wall, some paint, about half the tile is in! Cabinets are scheduled for installation on my birthday. Appliances have been purchased for delivery on the 28th. Quartz countertops have been identified. Needless to say progress is happening and we see it coming together. Killian came home this morning and told me, "that tile looks soooo good!"

AC what what

We had the HVAC contractor over this morning to reconnect ductwork. That is the last of the "in the wall" items. That means drywall starts on Monday!!! Wahoooooo.

Almost time to close 'er up

Demo is done (almost, arches being removed & floors have to go), electrical is finito, plumb soooo close. Had a little gas leak scare last night but it is under control now.

Details worked out for cabinet layout. On the right track for the countertops. I'm giddy about the backsplash plan. Flooring needs to be finalized and paint picked out but guess what happens next week??!! The walls start being closed up. We are building now not taking things apart, wahooooo!!!

Hopefully our appliances go on super labor day sale and we get that lined up too. So thankful for nice outdoor cooking weather and patient family without the normal setup to feed everyone. 

I can't wait for the dishwasher and kitchen sink, not to mention the stove top and oven being full size and not the toaster oven or bbq burner. To top it off, the book will be finished up with garbage storage and drawers for art supplies! 

The vision is about to be put into action, I can't wait to see the dream I had two years ago for this house to come to life. Mama is a happy camper.

Ps - I love having a contractor who communicates well and deals with images like this from me....
