Sister and Mychal

We met up with Devarae and Mychal yesterday, what fun we've had since. The dirt road to our hotel was horrible! And I was driving! Awful! Took me a good while to calm down after that one...phew.

But after we we had lunch and I cooled down we were picked up for our coffee and sugar cane tour. What a great tour! We saw our first and second and third sloth of the trip. Kyle made fudge, we tasted fresh made gaurdo, and had the best tacos of my life...over all a great tour. Oh and we bought the cream of the crop coffee, pea berries, so of you want yummy coffee, get your butts up to San Jose for a taste.
Before we leave Monteverde and head around the lake, I have to comment on the wind and lighting we experienced over night, broke me up several times and the lighting was amazing, we were truly in the cloud forest.

Today we left monteverde and headed to arenal, rainy rainy rainy. Not used to it...we said good bye to the beach in tamarindo so we were prepared. on our way to arenal we happened upon a microbrewery and had to stop in for a tasting and lunch, boy was it good to have some delicious beer. We continued on and found our hotel and headed our on our volcano hike and hot springs tour, thank you to the Hourigan family for that gift. Hike was pretty interesting, Kyle was our official snake spotter, he did great job.

Hot spring were so much fun and we enjoyed a really delicious dinner. Back to the hotel to enjoy the swim up bar and the hot springs on the grounds. We are just having a fabulous time and can't believe this amazing journey is coming to and end.
I look forward to sharing our adventures in person with all of you! Can't wait until August!

Enjoy and see you soon. Pictures later :)

Playa Samara

More fun has been had! We are currently enjoying some frosty beverages at our hotel, listening to some local music and swatting away buggies...tropical heaven!

Yesterday we made the trek to playa samara, south of nosara (popular tourist spot). We checked into our bungalow that has an outdoor shower so cool and headed to e beach. We had lunch at a restaurant on the sand and then enjoyed the surf and sun. No rain yesterday. We had a fabulous steak and mussel dinner at a location that has a pretty fancy grill, the wood burns and then rolls down slides to the cooking grill when the chefs need more fuel. Saw that in our travel book and it sounded too cool to pass up. Pricy but delicous, we had a little dog friend all dinner so I snuck out some steak scraps to share :) my mom would be so proud!

Today....oh today, has been amazing! We started the morning with a delicious breakfast and the headed down to the beach to soak up the sunshine. While at the beach we rented horses and a guide and went on a two hour horse ride. Beautiful views and gorgeous scenery. Kyle and I will both be very soar but it was a great experience. Very entertaining to watch kyle on a horse, he did very well for not riding in years. We got off the horses just in time, a huge thunder and lighting storm hit! And I mean huge...has to be the hardest I have ever seen it rain. So what did we do, got in the pool :) so much fun! When the rain let up we headed in for some local food and tourist shopping. Got our magnet and some other goodies.

Tomorrow we head up to tamarindo for more fun. We will be staying a true tourist resort tomorrow, time to enjoy some luxury again. Enjoy the pictures and more to come when I get wi-fi and some time away from the beach!
Pure vida!

Costa Rica wedding, yeah baby!!

Soooo....what an amazing trip so far! Snorkeling adventures, zip lining tours, ATV rainy excursions, a surprise guest, sport fishing floats, oh and a pretty kick ass wedding if I do say so myself! Such a truly awesome group of friends and loved ones, we had an out of this world experience and I know I speak for both Kyle and I when I say, we truly couldn't have planned it to be more perfect and out of this world fun.

Thank you to all that joined us, I don't have very many pictures from the wedding so please forgive me for only having one to share right now. I am posting many more of the fun activities and pool laziness we have been enjoying. When guests start sending me wedding pictures I will upload them, believe me I am just as excited to see them as you are :)

I will fill in more details of the adventures continue but wanted to get some photos up for people to start looking at.

Kyle and I are currently in the Hilton just outside Liberia, the town we flew into on Monday. His parents and sister leave tomorrow and then we are heading down the coast again to a town called Samara. Stay there for two nights and then move on.

Hope I get a picture of everyone uploaded, we had a fabulous time! Thank you especially to my parents, sister, and Shannan for making this a truly magical day for me. Love all of you! (that goes for all of you that couldn't quite make it here too, love you!)

Oh and happy birthday to my loving dad and great aunt Macky! Love you!!!
